Now Hiring a Facility and Lawn Maintenance Supervisor for a Water Company in Pace, FL
Position Summary
Performs manual activities to include facility and lawn maintenance at the property in accordance with company standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position.
•• Maintain and repair facility components (e.g. lighting, heating and ventilating systems, alarms, plumbing, security, electrical panels, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and workable environment
• Maintenance and repair of mowers and other equipment
• Conduct janitorial services for warehouse facilities and business office
• Arrange furniture and equipment for the purpose of providing adequate preparations for special events
• Perform a wide variety of general and semi-skilled maintenance activities (e.g. carpentry, painting, electrical, etc.)
• Responsible for landscaping activities to include, but not limited to, mowing, trimming hedges and clipping trees
• Weed control and application of various chemicals as needed
• Repairs furniture and building system components for the purpose of ensuring a safe working condition
• Respond to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
• Transport a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job sites
• Assist other departments as necessary
• Working knowledge of Pace’s geography and street locations with the ability to become proficient
• Operate and perform maintenance of hand tools, light, and heavy equipment (including mowers, tractors, and forklifts)
• Safely mix and apply lawn chemicals
• Learn residential and commercial pipe systems and plumbing fixtures
• Read and use area maps and utilize electronic meter reading devices
• Make simple mathematical calculations rapidly and accurately
• Understand and follow both written and oral instructions
• Clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing
• Establish and maintain a professional effective working relationship with associates and to positively interact with all levels of employees and members of public
• Effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Ascertain priorities and meet deadlines and objectives
• Exercise sound judgment and discretion in decision-making in all phases of responsibilities
• Performs related duties as directed
Minimum Qualifications
Valid Driver’s License
State of Florida Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within six (6) months
(must be approved as insurable driver by insurance carrier)
Pesticide Applicator Licenses or ability to obtain one within six (6) months

Physical Demands
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to operate basic operations equipment
• Use of close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
• Ability to distinguish shades of colors
• Physically demanding work will typically involve some combination of standing, walking, lifting, pulling, stooping, crouching, bending/kneeling, reaching, pushing, crawling, climbing, balancing, and repetitive motions
• Moderate to heavy lifting is required (up to 50 pounds)
• Exposure to disagreeable environmental factors, such as outside weather conditions, dampness/humidity, heat and cold, noisy, and dusty conditions, odors, heights, and working in and with moving objects and moving vehicles
• Tasks involve interaction with fumes, gases, chemicals, and solvents
